Simple Instructions For How to Make A Cake

Ingredients:
- 150g of softened butter
- 150g of caster sugar
- 3 eggs (free range if possible!)
- 150g of self raising flour
1. Get the oven on and heat it up to 180 C/gas mark 4
2. Take 2 sandwich tins and rub butter around the side, place grease proof paper in the bottom of both tins.
3. Take a mixing bowl and beat together the butter and sugar until it’s pale and creamy.
4. Add in the eggs to the mixture, do this one at a time and stir until smooth.
5. Now add the flour and mix gently into the mixture.
6. Pour the mixture into the 2 sandwich tins – equal amounts in each tin.
7. Put them in the oven and leave them there for 20 to 25 minutes.
8. You know the cakes done when it’s golden brown and feels springy to the touch.
9. Take them out and leave them to cool down.
10. When it’s cooled down you can sandwich it together with jam and there you go, delicious cake.

Easy and Delicious Carrot Cake With Cream Cheese Icing
Cake Ingredients:
- 6oz of castor sugar
- 3 eggs
- a quarter pt cooking oil
- 8oz of plain flour
- 2 level tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 level tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 8oz of grated carrot
Icing Ingredients:
- 3oz of cream cheese
- 6oz of icing sugar
- few drops of vanilla essence
- (use the juice of one orange and extra icing sugar if necessary)
1. Take a mixing bowl and beat together the sugar, eggs and cooking oil until well blended.
2. Sift the dry ingredients together and add them to the egg mixture.
3. Stir in the grated carrot.
4. Pour the mixture into a greased and lined Swiss roll tin.
5. Bake it at gas mark 4/180 C for about 30 minutes until it’s golden brown.
6. Let the bad boy stand and cool for a while.
To make the icing:
1. Beat the cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla essence together until it’s smooth and creamy.
2. When the cake is cool, spread the icing on top.
3. Taste and bask in the glory of your cake making abilities!
